Gifts are precious and beautiful, especially when they come from our love ones.
Most people love receiving gifts.
Who doesn’t love receiving gifts?
If you tell me that; I will immediately request for your friendship. Hahahah we could form our own friendship and gift exchange clan.
When comparing men and women, women love receiving gifts more than men. Don’t we all? I have always wondered the reasoning behind this passionate love for gifts.
Over the years, I have learned that We have give as much as we receive. In order for us not become eternal receivers, we should make a conscious decision to also be givers.
Wait a second, it’s not a crime to always be on the receiving end. It’s rather a sign that our personality or actions are good, and as a result cause others to give to us.
It’s always a pleasure for me to receive from others, but I derive more pleasure when I give to others.
Giving is great. Its an act of love, an act of selflessness and a display of affection and care for others. Even the Bible tells us in Acts 20:35 that “…There is greater blessing in giving than receiving”.
Our Giving could be in the form of time, energy, words, money, material possessions, etc. All that matters is the giving heart and hand.
We shouldn’t wait for special occasions to give people gifts. The giving of gifts should be a spontaneous everyday act. We give out of the kindness of our hearts and not because it’s Christmas season or someone’s birthday.
I therefore urge you to give out of the kindness of your heart and not out of obligation. Since most of us love receiving gifts, it’s only wise for us to also give to others in return.
